SNOWDON SKYRACE RECCE DAYS ARE BACK!
Fully stoked but a bit scared about the upcoming Snowdon SkyRace? Great! Challenging? Yes. Unachievable? No! With the right attitude and preparation, anyone can complete this race and now help and support is here in the form of guided recce runs! As a requirement of entry to the race, you should possess experience of Grade 1 scrambling or above, which this recce day will provide by traversing Crib Goch (weather permitting). Limited to just 12 places and led by experienced local mountain guide Kathryn Roberts: book NOW to avoid disappointment!
We will meet at Pen-y-Gwryd Hotel (aid station 3 in the race) and make our way around the 'south loop' of this figure-of-eight race route. Snowdon SkyRace RD Michael will be attending too, so feel free to ask any race related questions you may have.
Weather permitting, early into the run and still fresh, we shall traverse Crib Goch, before summiting following the race route via the Snowdon Ranger's path to event HQ in Rhyd-Ddu, where we can stop for refreshment at the awesome Ty Mawr Tearoom. Once refueled, we shall follow the race route via the Snowdon Rhyd-Ddu path, then traversing Y Lliwedd back to Pen-y-Pass, before briefly retracing our earlier steps back to Pen-y-Gwryd Hotel. Feel free to hang around for a drink!
Our recce days are designed to provide an inclusive, friendly, and relaxed atmosphere and usually attract a mixed ability group, so if you're looking for a tougher challenge, please consider asking for a private guide instead.
This event is open to any runner but is limited to just 12 places at £49 per person and is a fully guided event.
