Day 2 of 2 covering the entire UTS 50 route across a weekend. Please note this recce weekend is open to any runner as the loops also form part of both the UTS 100 and 165 routes. Days can be booked individually but what a perfect training opportunity to get the whole course covered across two days!
Waunfawr Recce Route - 20km, 1326m+
The group will meet in Waunfawr, please note parking in some places is sensitive and more information will be provided before the recce day. This loop will take in the peak of Mynydd Mawr before heading over to the Moel Eilio horseshoe of Foel Goch, Foel Gron and Moel Eilio. Please note this route also passes through sections of private land around Bron-Y-fedw and should not be visited in other circumstances.
The recce days are designed to provide an inclusive, friendly, and relaxed atmosphere and usually attract a mixed ability group, so if you're looking for a tougher challenge, please consider asking for a private guide instead.
This event is open to any runner but is limited to just 12 places. £45/pp Please note this is a fully guided event.

One BIG mountain running day on the UTS 50, 100 & 165 course.

Up to 1:6 guide to runner ratio with Lara qualified Mountain Leader guide and UTS Mountain Safety Lead, Kev.

Practical advice over the course including scrambling technique, hiking pole use, descending techniques, as well as basic navigation and scrambling.

Waterproof course map, and new ultra friends!
MANDATORY KIT
Please bring all the race mandatory kit as specified here. Trail food will not be provided so please bring your own sustenance.
TRAVEL
Please arrive at 8:30 am on Sunday. The group will meet in Waunfawr, please note parking in some places is sensitive and more information will be provided before the recce day.
